Force plate technology provides both the therapist and the fitness enthusiast with functional force/power production measurements. That force production can be displayed in multiple ways, one of those being demonstrated on the corresponding graph. This graph presents the Rate of Power development. The green bars indicates the amount of power generated on the pre-test. The blue bar is the measurements taken on the post-test. The increased height of the blue bar indicates the increases in power. Increased power in a shorter time is the desire and goal of every athlete.
Power production is a product of neurological control of muscle and joint function. A rehabilitation program is designed to create equality of power production from the injured side to the non-injured side. It is important that the device used to measure your recovery is one that truly measures power. Many say they do but really fall short. Ask for the 3PQ or Accupower test for the most accurate measurement of power.
