St. Alexius Medical Center recognized its 258 volunteers at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, April 3.
Volunteers  gave 22,623 hours in 2013. “Every year at the spring luncheon, we recognize our volunteers who generously give their time, talents and dedication to St. Alexius” said Gary P. Miller, president and CEO of St. Alexius. “Each volunteer graciously lives and fulfills the rule of St. Benedict with mission and purpose.” Volunteers were treated to lunch, a fun-filled program and door prizes.
St. Alexius Medical Center has a long history of volunteerism. “The program is continually expanding to accommodate volunteers of all ages including a junior volunteer opportunity for young teens” states Laurie Hatzenbuhler, director of Volunteer Services.
