And the Beat Goes On…St. Alexius Defends Treadmill Challenge!
On February 7, 2014, St. Alexius Medical Center won the Go Red Treadmill Challenge, a friendly competition involving seven medical facilities. St. Alexius associates ran or walked 16 miles more than last year, earning them the right to hold onto the traveling trophy for another year.
Employees at each facility either ran or walked on one of several treadmills during a 12 hour period.

~ Sanford – Fargo - 63.06 miles
~ Sanford – Bismarck - 57.25 miles
~ Jamestown Regional Medical Center - 44.56 miles
~ Cavalier-Pembina Co. Memorial Hospital - 39.74 miles
~ Trinity Health, Minot - 33.21 miles
February 7, 2014 was designated National Wear Red Day® by the American Heart Association. Heart disease is the leading killer among women. Each year, on the first Friday of February, millions of Americans come together, wear red and take action and make a commitment to fight women’s heart disease. The entire month of February is designated American Heart Month, promoting heart health among both women and men.
