St. Alexius Community Pharmacy Infusion Therapy program provides therapies usually administered intravenously. Our professional staff of nurse and pharmacists provides these therapies in the comfort of the patient's home or alternative site setting. This service allows patients to continue with their daily activities while receiving care. We provide personal, caring service to each patient to ensure patients are receiving a higher standard of care, clinical excellence and customer service.
By working together with prescribing physicians, our goals are to improve quality and convenience for our patients. A thorough assessment is done to determine if the patient is an appropriate candidate for infusion therapy at home. We commit ourselves to make each infusion therapy customer comfortable with our products and services.
- Allows patients to leave the hospital and still receive needed IV therapy in the comfort of their own home.
- Patients may return to work or school while receiving therapy.
Infusion Therapy May Include
- Pain Management
- TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
- IV Catheter Line Maintenance
- Antiviral and Anti-fungal Agents
All necessary supplies and equipment related to Infusion Therapy will be provided.
Instruction on IV Therapy will be provided by qualified staff and the patient's clinical progress and outcome followed regularly.
Infusion staff is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support patients, physicians and referral sources.
Home Infusion services are covered by Medicaid and most private insurance companies. Self-pay is also an option.
