St. Alexius’ Hospice staff will gather on Friday, November 1, to raise a flag in observance of National Hospice Month. The community is encouraged to attend the flag raising ceremony at noon at the St. Alexius Medical Center’s South Visitor Entrance, off Broadway.
The flag serves as a reminder of the efforts of hospice clinical and support staff, volunteers, family caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, social workers and clergy who tend to the terminally ill with care and compassion. The flag will fly the entire month in remembrance of those who have died in hospice care.
