The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced that St. Alexius Medical Center’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been accredited for a period of three years. This accreditation applies to St. Alexius’ inpatient rehabilitation programs for adults, adolescents and children.
This accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows St. Alexius’ dedication and commitment to improving quality of life for its patients. In order to receive a three-year accreditation outcome, St. Alexius put itself through a peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during on an on-site visit that its inpatient rehab programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.
St. Alexius’ Rehab Unit  was first accredited by CARF in 1991.
