The St. Alexius Auxiliary is hosting a book fair on Monday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, August 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale is in Boniface Auditorium and is open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to use St. Alexius’ East Patient Entrance at 10th and Rosser. The Auxiliary is partnering with Books Are Fun to offer books, gifts and educational products. A portion of the proceeds from the sale go to special projects within the Medical Center that enhance patient and visitor welfare.
For more information about the book fair, call Laurie Hatzenbuhler at 530-7159.
In January, St. Alexius’ Auxiliary presented the Medical Center with a record $50,000 donation brought about through funds generated from fundraising events and gift shop sales. Some of the items purchased through funds from the Auxiliary included flat screen TVs for the ICU and admitting waiting areas, play stations and games for the pediatric unit and perinatal loss books.
