What is the St. Alexius Kickball Tournament (SAKT)?
The game we all played as children is the center of a fundraising event for children! SAKT 2017 is a one-day, coed kickball tournament that raises funds to help the mothers and babies served by CHI St. Alexius Health The Birth Place. In this region more than 55 percent of all babies born are delivered at The Birth Place which includes three hospital departments: Labor and Delivery, Mom/Baby and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

In 2016, a total of 1,491 babies were born and of those there were 34 sets of twins. A mother’s welfare has a major impact on an unborn child’s health. SAKT 2017 proceeds will purchase new equipment and technology to advance Labor and Delivery and Mom/Baby services to ensure future mothers continue to have healthy births and newborns receive exceptional care.

Best Uniform Challenge
Compete for the title of “Best Uniform” in three categories:

  • Patriotic
  • 1950’s Throw Back
  • Fashionable (open category)

We want teams to get creative. At the same time uniforms must be appropriate as this is a fundraiser for children. Uniforms are judged the day of the tournament by the SAKT Ambassador’s family and SAKT committee members. The winning teams are announced mid-day of the tournament.
