Melanie joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in May 2005, as a member of the continence management team.
A native of Bismarck-Mandan, Melanie received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Mary in 1996. She went on to earn her Master of Science in nursing, completing the family nurse practitioner curriculum, also from the University of Mary in 2000.
Prior to joining the clinic, Melanie worked as an advanced practice nurse and clinical preceptor for nurse practitioners at The Bone & Joint Center, and educated the community on practices to prevent and treat osteoporosis. Additionally, she lectured to undergraduate students enrolled in athletic training and registered nursing programs, and instructed nurse practitioner students in advanced pathophysiology at the University of Mary.
Melanie is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the Society of Urological Nurses and Associates, and the North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association. She has a special interest in urodynamics and Interstim therapy, and was the recipient of the 2012 Women's Entrepreneurship Award presented by Innovate ND for developing continence products.
