Kristen joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in October 2013.
A native of Bowman, N.D., Kristen began her medical career as a certified surgical technologist at St. Alexius Medical Center assisting surgeons in both routine and emergency procedures. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Colorado Denver, followed by a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
During her years at the University of Florida, Kristen was honored with the UF School of Physician Assistant Studies Service Learning Award and received various academic scholarships. She completed many of her clinical rotations at University of Florida Health at Jacksonville, which is Northeast Florida's premier academic health center and a leader in the education of health professionals. Her time at UF Health and other Northern Florida healthcare facilities provided her with experience in caring for a diverse array of patient populations and treating a vast scope of disease processes before returning to her home state of North Dakota.
Kristen maintains BCLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association. She is a member of the Association of Surgical Technology, as well as a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and its North Dakota Chapter. Kristen is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice in North Dakota.
