Moore, Michael - MD

Dr. Michael R. Moore joined The Bone & Joint Center in 2000. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery. He specializes in the treatment of neck and low back problems.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Dr. Moore is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Oregon and an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After completing an internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego, he completed a one-year fellowship in adult and pediatric spine surgery at the Center for Spinal Surgery in Lakewood, Colorado with Drs. Courtney Brown and David Donaldson.

Dr. Moore's expertise includes treatment of complex neck and low back problems. He has been involved with the development of new spinal technologies since entering practice and was among the first surgeons in the United States to apply endoscopic techniques for anterior spinal fusions. Dr. Moore was the first surgeon in North Dakota to implant an artificial disc.

Dr. Moore is a member of the North American Spine Society, the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American College of Spine Surgery .Dr. Moore has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Spine Surgery since 2007 and is an examiner for the American Board of Spine Surgery.
