This support group meets the first Tuesday of each month.

Surgical Weight Loss Support ProgramThis support group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. (CST) via Telehealth at the Mercy Medical Center in Williston. Williston group will meet in the McAuley Education Center Telemed Room. Please enter at  the main entrance with the revolving doors. Take the corridor to the right past the cafeteria and chapel and follow signage to the McAuley Education Center. It is open to anyone who has had or is considering Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, or Lap Banding surgery and their support persons.

Please register online by noon the day prior to the support group meeting to reserve a seat for you and a guest. Space is limited. Registration of you and/or a guest is required. Session will be canceled if no registrants are received by noon the day prior to the session. Refreshments may be provided.

TOPIC Neutralizing Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Specific Fears and Addictive Cravings (a 2-Part Series)

Objectives:

  1. Examine the nature and effects of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
  2. Discover Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
  3. Learn how EMDR typically is quite effective in counteracting PTSD, addictive cravings, specific trauma and specific fears.
