St. Alexius Medical Center is committed to providing patients with a safe hospital experience. That is why the medical center recently implemented the V-360+ UV Room Sanitizer from UltraViolet Devices, Inc. (UVDI) for superior surface disinfection.
The V-360+ is a mobile ultraviolet germicidal irradiation device utilized by St. Alexius’ Environmental Services staff to disinfect hospital rooms after cleaning. It generates high intensity UV energy and quickly disinfects surfaces contaminated with viruses, bacteria and fungi, including superbugs such as MRSA and C. difficile.
“Patient safety and infection prevention has always been a priority at St. Alexius Medical Center,” said St. Alexius President and CEO Gary P. Miller. “We are the first hospital in North Dakota to utilize this cutting edge technology as we want our patients to have the best and safest care possible. We added UV disinfection technology as a complement to our current cleaning and disinfection processes.” The V-360+ sanitizer unit will be used throughout the hospital and in the operating rooms to provide an optimal safe environment for our patients.
Robert Thompson, Regional Sales Specialist for UVDI, reports, “St. Alexius Medical Center has demonstrated once again their proactive approach to providing the highest level of care and now joins a growing list of healthcare providers across the country who have adopted the V-360+ UV Room Sanitizer. The V-360+ achieves 99 percent or greater surface disinfection in just minutes and because of its mobility, one unit can be used efficiently to treat numerous areas daily within the medical center.”
