Four Graduate from Fellowship Program

Suhail Alkilani, MD, Sulakshna (Sue) Dhamija, MD, Taleb Taha, MD and Michelle TePastte, MD recently graduated from the Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program at St. Alexius Medical Center and University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

 

Dr. Suhail AlkilaniDr. Suhail Alkilani earned his medical degree from University of Aleppo, Syrian Arab Republic. He completed a family medicine residency at University of North Dakota Center for Family Medicine in Minot, North Dakota. Dr. Alkilani will join Trinity Health in Minot, North Dakota.

 

Dr. Sulakshna DhamijaDr. Sulakshna (Sue) Dhamija earned her medical degree from Grant Medical College in Bombay, India. She completed a family medicine residency program at Hofstra-North Shore Long Island Jewish School of Medicine in Glen Cove, New York. Dr. Dhamija will be joining as Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UND Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck, North Dakota.

 

Dr. Taleb TahaDr. Taleb Taha earned his medical degree from University of Cairo, Egypt. He completed a family medicine residency program at UND Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck, North Dakota. Dr. Taha will join the St. Alexius Medical Center Hospital Medicine faculty.

 

Dr. Michelle TePastteDr. Michelle TePastte earned her medical degree from Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit, Michigan. She completed a family medicine residency program at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. TePastte will join Theda Care Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

 

The Hospitalist Fellowship Program at St. Alexius Medical Center is a one year program that started in 2012 in collaboration with University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The program provides additional training in Hospital Medicine for family or internal medicine physicians. In addition, fellows have opportunities to participate and gain experience in research, administration and leadership roles.
