Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) awards college credits for your past paramedic education as well as your current paramedic experience. Earning Your AAS Degree Students who wish to receive the AAS degree must successfully complete 60 credit hours, which includes 43 credits from the Paramedic Technology program and an additional 17 general education credits.
