Highlight on Women's Surgery Center
The Women's Surgery Center consists of a 10 bed in-patient, 4 bed out-patient unit as well as a Pre-Surgery Evaluation Program. The most frequent types of surgical procedures the Women=s Surgery Center clients experience are: all types of gynecology procedures, breast reductions, breast reconstruction and liposuction. Other Women's plastic/aesthetic procedures and other surgical procedures done in combination with the gynecology or plastic/aesthetic procedure are done occasionally.
This unit also cares for women experiencing medical, obstetric and other surgical procedures such as: podiatric surgery, Ear Nose and Throat surgeries, and complications of pregnancy less than 16-20 weeks gestation. Preoperative assessment for all patient populations served in Women's Surgery is completed through the Pre-surgery Evaluation Program.
