Highlight on Heart and Lung Clinic
St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic consists of several specialty groups. These being Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Pulmonary, Allergy, Cystic Fibrosis, Pain and Anesthesia. St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic services a predominately adult and geriatric population. Services are, however, provided to infant, child and adolescent populations as well. The Heart & Lung Clinic providers treat a wide range of conditions relating to cardiac care, pulmonary care, allergy and pain treatments and anesthesia.
Clinic visits and diagnostic procedures comprise the majority of services in the clinic setting. Diagnostic testing procedures include: EKG, echocardiograms, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, pulmonary function testing, skin and scratch testing, various injections, lumbar puncture, IV therapies and various other procedures. Physicians and nursing personnel provide satellite clinic coverage on a rotating basis each month.
