Highlight on Emergency Trauma
The Emergency/Trauma Center is a 21 bed unit. The purpose of the ETC is to care for patients requiring emergency care. The predominate symptoms include pain management, cardiac or stroke symptoms, trauma and fever. The care is provided through a multi-disciplinary team approach. The most frequent patient populations are: trauma, medical, cardiac, and pulmonary. Family and significant other support is provided by nursing staff in collaboration with the other multi-disciplinary team members.
