Highlight on Cardiac Cath / Electrophysiology Labs
The Cardiac Catheterization Labs provide diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Procedures performed frequently are diagnostic righ and/or left heart catheterizations, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and cardiac stent placements.
The Electrophysiology Lab also provides diagnostic and interventional procedures. Procedures performed are electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency catheter ablations, pacemaker insertions and internal cardiac defibrillator implants.
Patients served in these labs are predominately adult and geriatric, occationally an adolescent may be seen.
