Vijay Rao, MD
Dr. Rao joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in July 2007. He is a specialist in treating diseases related to cancer (oncology) and hematology malignancy (hematology).
A native of India, Dr. Rao graduated from the M.R. Medical College in Gulbarga, India with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Rao is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology, and also holds a certificate in Food & Nutrition. He has produced several publications and abstracts on colon, prostate and breast cancer therapies.
Dr. Rao is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the American Medical Association. He is licensed to practice medicine in the states of North Dakota and South Dakota.
